6th Jan – day 118 – After yesterday’s flight and taxi to Padang Bai we stayed at Fat Barricuda. I took a short walk to a small beach where local children were playing. In the afternoon we caught the fast boat across to Gili Trawangan. We arrived at My Mates Place, had some great Western food (gravy!) and went out in the evening.

7th Jan – day 119 – We walked across the island to La Pirate and sat by the pool and beach. We grabbed a froyo and sat on the beach a little longer before going out for the evening.

8th Jan – day 118 – Today we took the hostel’s boat trip around Gili Meno and Gili Air, where we stopped for lunch. We snorkelled in the clear waters and saw turtles! After the boat trip we were reunited with Kerrianne and Vic and we caught up whilst sat on the beach!

9th Jan – day 119 – We met up with Kerrianne and Vic for breakfast and then decided to go paddle boarding (note: don’t lose your paddle!). Then we all hired push bikes and cycled around the island to watch sunset at Malibu Beach Club.

10th Jan – day 120 – Now that we had Kerrianne and Vic with us, we decided to do the hostel snorkeling trip again and we were helpfully left on Gili Air to spend a couple of nights there. We stayed in super cute bungalows at Youpy. In the evening we took bikes around the island and watched another sunset at Pink Coco.

11th Jan – day 121 – Gili Air was a very quiet and relaxed place. We spent most of our day at the beach and had some great sea food. In the evening we watched Jumanji at the outdoor cinema!

12th Jan – day 122 – I was woken up by Kerrianne and a cup of tea in bed which was lovely! We relaxed by the pool in the morning and then got the fast boat back to Bali and then a taxi to Ubud. We checked into Cendana hotel and went for food before getting an early night.

13th Jan – day 123 – We had an adrenaline filled day today of white water rafting in Ubud! In the evening we walked around the markets and done some shopping (oops).

14th Jan – day 124 – An early rise for all of us! Kerrianne, Vic and I went to see the dolphins in Lovina which is in the North of Bali, and then to some waterfalls. Meanwhile Chloe and Ash walked up Mount Batur. We all met up in Canguu later that evening where we stayed at Layday Surf Hostel. Unfortunately I was sick in the evening so didn’t go out for food with the others!

15th Jan – day 125 – Today we treated ourselves to a bed at Finns Beach Club for Kerrianne and Vic’s last day with us.

16th Jan – day 126 – It was a wet day so we stayed in bed and watched Netflix all day and done some planning.

17th Jan – day 127 – We got a taxi to the south of Bali and then a fast boat across to Nusa Penida. We got straight into a taxi and toured some of the island. We went to the T Rex beach, Angel’s Billabong, Split Beach and took a very long walk down to a natural pool.

18th Jan – day 128 – On our second day on Nusa Penida we went swimming with manta rays and done some more snorkeling! It was definitly some of the clearest water we had seen so far and amazing to see manta rays up close! Sadly I got a little sea sick, again! In the afternoon we hired scooters but didn’t get very far on the really hilly roads!

19th Jan – day 129 – We left Nusa Penida and made our way back to Seminyak, Bali. We took a walk through town and to the beach and got a little burnt! In the evening we had pre-drinks at the hostel (Capsule Hostel) and then went out to La Favela.

20th Jan – day 130 – We spent the morning chilling by the pool and then went on the hostel party bus to Single Finn Beach Club. The bus and minimart outside the club were the best part of the day!!

21st Jan – day 131 – We nursed a hangover all day and in the evening went for all you can eat and drink at Sky Garden for my last night with Chloe and Ash before heading to Australia!
