th Nov – day 60 – We spent our second long day on the slow boat until we finally arrived in Luang Prabang. We took a walk from our hostel, Downtown Backpacker Hostel, to the Street Market to grab some food. They had so much good food here, lots of pastries and German sausages! We then chilled at the hostel. We thought that there wasn’t much to do in Luang Prabang but there is actually a bowling alley which stays open late and serves alcohol!

th Nov – day 61 – We spent the morning at Kuang Si Waterfall, which was one of the most beautiful we had seen so far. The water was very cold and the pesky fish do like to nibble on toes but it is well worth it.

We took a very very cramped and full minibus to Vang Vieng which had us sat on the edge of our seat because of the lack of room and the winding gravel roads around cliff edges! It was a long day of travelling so we checked into Nana hostel, had some of the free spirits and then called it a night.

th Nov – day 62 – We got up and headed out to do what everyone goes to Vang Vieng for, TUBING! Although many of the river bars and zip lines have been shut down, the party still really gets started here. You jump in your tube and float down the river to different bars, chill and play drinking games. Just remember to get back before dark and don’t miss the last stop. Once you’re back on dry land the party continues at Viva Bar and Sukura Bar with alternating free spirits at each bar!

th Nov – day 63 – Once we had recovered from the hangover Ali and I decided to do it all over again and go tubing! Ash and Chloe decided to be a little more sensible and they went around Vang Vieng on scooters and saw a view point, lagoons and cave.

th Nov – day 64 – We left Vang Vieng and headed to Vietiane. The journey took all day by minibus and tuk tuk. We eventually arrived and stayed at Dreamhome hostel.
th Nov – day 65 – We hired push bikes and cycled around Vietaine. We visited the COPE visitor centre, the Patuxai (a mini Arc de Triumph) and Pha That Luang. There were loads of great restaurants that serve western food in Vietaine too, so we ate well!

th Nov – day 66 – We had a chilled last day in Laos by sitting around the pool as it was really hot (felt like 38 degrees!). For tea we had a delicious Indian and then finished packing ready for Vietnam.
